Kirana Counselling

Training early-career therapists to feel confident, skilled, and ready.

Kirana kyunki India deserves mental health, its conversations, and therapy to be as accessible as our local kirana stores.

As students of psychology,

Our college training is largely theoretical. As if we are trained in everything except: "What do we actually do as a therapist?"

We are sent to the field to fend for ourselves. Often feeling helpless.

And ofcourse, therapists don't earn well.

What Kirana wants to stand for,

A place to support you in your frustration and helplessness.

Help you learn the actual skills through practice and not PPTs.

And move up in the ladder towards employment or starting your own practice.

Micro-Skills Cohort,

A two-month cohort for students of psychology and early-career therapists.

Focused on learning the essential micro-skills that help create a safe space for another human to open up in therapy.

Lots of practice— in triads, with peers, and on AI clients. Haan, seriously ;)

AI Clients,

An interface where AI behaves like a client, and you practice as a therapist to cement your skills.

Experiment safely, without the fear of harming someone in the process.

Get real-time, actionable feedback so you can improve— steadily, not dramatically.

Our vision,

We want to build a world-class therapist training infrastructure where members (not "students") graduate feeling confident in their skills and in what they can offer to clients.

We also want early-career therapists to feel more financially secure, through therapeutic and non-therapeutic streams.

About me,

Mera naam Jai hai.

I studied Mathematics, then Counselling Psychology.

I know what it feels like to be an outsider and to not feel prepared enough.

I don't want you to feel the same way :)

Some smol things about me: I enjoy masti, I say the word cute a lot, and I deeply value kindness in others.
